Tyler Weig was born and raised in Oelwein, IA. In June 2005, he embarked on a cross-country bike ride from the Oregon coast to Virginia Beach. Cycling For A Cure, as it was called, was dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the American Cancer Society. Through this experience, he met Andy Boryzcka. Andy's excitement and energy about Team242 and the Dave Ride was intriguing. As the Dave Ride progressed in 2005, the Team242 website became a good way for Tyler to learn more about what the ride is all about-friends remembering a friend lost to a disease that has affected Tyler's family more than any other. When the 2006 David Browne Wisconsin Adventure was announced, he couldn't wait to be a part of the magic.
Tyler is very excited to be a part of the 2008 ride-his 3rd. He's looking forward to seeing the great states of Minnesota and Wisconsin with great friends while creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Tyler currently resides in Des Moines, Iowa where he proudly works for the American Cancer Society.
