I was born and raised in Boscobel, Wisconsin. A few years ago I decided that it was time to move on, so I moved picked up and moved 40 miles east to Dodgeville. I have worked for Lands’ End (in Dodgeville) for 13 years as a graphic artist and embroidery digitizer. I occasionally do embroidery consulting and digitize privately upon request. When I am not busy sewing something I am a devoted follower of my son and his sporting events. (football, wrestling & baseball) I like to split my time between running, spinning, indoor cycling, swimming and hiking …. Not necessarily in that order. One would get the impression that I am in great shape, but this ride is going to be very challenging both physically and mentally for me.
Charity - Charity - Charity
"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.

My charity roots run deep with in the United Methodist Church. There is the soul of a very old church lady trapped in this 30 something year old body. I devote the majority of my time to BMZ Missions, a United Methodist based mission group that travels around the country to perform mission and relief work. In March I had the privilege to travel with our adult group to Mississippi to help with the continuing clean up effort for Hurricane Katrina. My other charity links include the American Cancer Society – Relay For Life (where I met Andy), Cystic Fibrosis and the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
My charity efforts usually come with a personal purpose attached to it, and the Dave ride is no exception. Last summer an old friend from high school died of a heart attack while on his way to work. He was 35 years old and left behind 5 children. I am very excited to be joining this ride and meeting a great new group of people (at least Andy says you are all GREAT). I hope that my love and devotion to beer and cheese will help me get from destination to destination. 100 miles at a time.
