Ben Gura currently lives in Kansas City, MO. He is an Assistant Project Manager for an environmental consulting firm. The native of Chicago has been living in Kansas City for the past 3 years. He is a graduate of Beloit College with a degree in Environmental Biology. His current job is helping utilities keep the lights on and electricity costs down. In 2001, Ben rode 500 miles over 7 days to raise awareness for the urban forests and the role they play in our lives. Like many people, Ben has been strongly affected by heart disease. He lost a grandfather and a very close friend in David Browne to the disease. He feels that this ride will have an impact on him and others by raising awareness of the devastating effects of heart disease.
