Becky Chown comes to you from Mustang, Oklahoma and is currently residing in Boulder, CO while working as a case manager to homeless families with ACCESS Housing in Commerce City, CO and as program staff at The Boulder Shelter for the Homeless. Becky moved to Wisconsin from Oklahoma to attend Beloit College where she graduated in May 2005 with degrees in political science and history. While at Beloit, Becky ran cross country and track and it is through those activities that she befriended Karl Poetzl who first introduced her to Team242.
Becky followed along with Team242 in 2003 via the internet and in 2004 she was fortunate enough to ride the last day from Madison to Beloit with the Team thanks to a borrowed bike from Margaret. Becky joined Team242 on the road and split her time between driving the support car and riding in 2005 and in 2006 she rode the entire 900 miles with Team242 as they toured Wisconsin’s best breweries.
Becky is excited to once again take to the road with Team242 and explore the Northwoods of Wisconsin.
Becky will be riding in memory of both her grandmothers whom she has lost to heart disease and for all families that have lost someone they love.
